This 17-piece jazz band is comprised of predominantly of professional musicians and local music teachers. Founded in 2006, the group has played numerous concerts, dances and other events in the Longview/Kelso areas, performed with internationally renowned trumpeter Allen Vizzutti, opened for the Harry James Orchestra and appear as a guest group for the Southwest Washington Symphony. The Northwest Jazz Orchestra is directed by David Klander.
